We recently celebrated the one year anniversary of the official launch of Greater Projects, a partner company of Greater Group that specialises in general contracting, project management and facility management services across Asia and Australia. Spearheaded by Tom Croagh, Greater Projects has seen incredible growth with impressive results in only a year — and what a year it has been! In honour of this milestone, we had a chat with Tom and Nils Andersen, Director of Operations, to showcase some of the Greater Projects highlights during 2020 and 2021.ABOUT GREATER PROJECTS Greater projects Limited officially launched in January 2020 with a two-fold aim: to diversify Greater Group’s range of service offerings, in particular increasing its capacity to provide general contracting, project management and facility management services across APAC, and to expand into new markets to become a truly multi-sector service provider that includes workplace interiors, education, hospitality, industrial, leisure and lifestyle, themed attractions and more.Since January 2020, Greater Projects has taken on 27 projects across Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore, Japan and Australia. The Greater Projects team has stepped into project management, design and build, lead consulting, general contracting and management contracting roles to deliver over 500,000 sq ft of projects across a variety of sectors, including retail, workplace, education, casino, hospitality, lifestyle, fitness, healthcare and industrial. Greater Projects is steadily expanding in Singapore, Macau and Shanghai with plans to launch an office in Jakarta and expand the Australian teams in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane during 2021.MEET THE GREATER PROJECTS LEADERSHIP TEAMTOM CROAGH Managing Director AsiaTom has over 16 years of experience in project management and construction. He comes from Brisbane, Australia, where he started his career working on new build projects for A-grade commercial office towers and defence force projects. Tom spent the last 11 years in Hong Kong specialising in interior and building renovation projects across Asia. Thanks to the additional 10 years spent in Hong Kong during his childhood, Tom can adequately speak Cantonese!NILS ANDERSENDirector of OperationsNils has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Originally from Port Edward in South Africa, Nils started his career as a general builder and apprentice in his hometown. Early in his career, he moved to London, where he worked with several high-end interior construction companies as well as the London Olympics fit-out packages. Currently based in Hong Kong, he has been working in the interior construction industry across Asia for the past six years.FEATURED PROJECTSHeinemann MacauPartnering with Heinemann in the rollout of its new location in Lisboeta Macau Casino, set to open this year, Greater Projects provided general contracting services for the interior fit-out as well as value engineering and brand coordination. The 10,000 sqft project was completed on time and on budget within only three months. Established in 1879, Heinemann is one of the world’s most foremost duty-free and travel retail operators.French International SchoolIn collaboration with the French International School in Hong Kong, Greater Projects is providing managing contractor services for a full refurbishment of one of the school’s three campuses. The scope of this project is to upgrade the campus facilities according to the school’s new learning standard of design, AGORA. This 30-year old campus is getting a new lease on life and is on its way to becoming a world-class learning environment for many years to come.Express VPN SingaporeWorking with ExpressVPN Singapore, Greater Projects is designing a space that stimulates productivity and encourages collaboration while reflecting the client’s brand image and identity. The objective of the 14,000 sq ft design is to create a functional and enjoyable workplace for Express VPN employees through logical spatial planning, meaningful experience and a branded spatial environment.KW Commerce Hong KongIn partnership with KW Commerce Hong Kong, Greater Projects has delivered a 16,000 sqft office space that accommodates up to 170 people. Functionality and spatial efficiency were prioritised in this workplace design project, resulting in focused productivity zones complemented by a selection of alternative seating options as well as social relaxation hubs that foster collaboration and community-building.Share :
