Every dusk store showcases beautiful displays created entirely from their candles, home decor products and accessories. The displays are designed to give customers inspiration on how to enjoy their new purchase in their home and to make choosing a gift quick and easy. With more than 15 years experience as the global sourcing partner for the Australian retail industry, greater group was tasked to manage the manufacturing of store joinery and signage scheme from the Far East that can accurately translate these requirements into fixtures that function as intended.
Specifically, greater group’s role encompasses identifying suitable factory partners, prototyping, quality control (QC), warehouse and logistics management to ensure seamless supply to over 30 dusk stores nationwide. The project outcome for dusk’s high-specification joinery need to achieve the optimum balance between cost, aesthetic, durability and functionality. This encompassed both floor-standing and wall equipment that introduced a sensory shopping experience for their customers – increasingly important for retail environments today. As shoppers move around the store, the fixtures need to encourage people to look, dwell, touch and ultimately buy the product.
In addition, dusk wanted to standardize their visual merchandising guidelines with retail displays that would last through easy to update graphics to keep the stores looking fresh.
greater group had to co-ordinate multiple suppliers to ensure equipment availability in line with the project plan, meaning that the right equipment is procured in the right volume, stored securely and despatched to the sites exactly when it is required.
The scale and pace of this project required a constant focus on cross-functional engagement to ensure successful completion. Daily communication throughout the project and close coordination with the installation teams help to reduce costs and minimise disruption during their operating hours.

Finishing touches of black shelving combined with FSC-certified timber furniture were cleverly utilised to enhance the colourful nature of the products.
Further cost savings were achieved by doing the prototyping, testing and trialling in a controlled factory environment overseas rather than on site. The joinery and signage were engineered for flat packed shipping specification, subsequently maximising container and delivery vehicle space efficiencies, minimising freight costs whilst ensuring ease and speed of on-site assembly.
